Founding Dealer Program is open. Get guided migration and launch support
Migration checklist

A dealer website migration is a domain, data, URL, lead, and measurement handoff.

The design is only one part of the launch. Inventory must arrive accurately, important URLs need a redirect plan, forms must reach the right people, analytics must continue, and the dealer must retain control of the domain.

Before

Inventory the current site

Export URLs, rankings, analytics, content, images, leads, domains, DNS, email, and vendor connections.

Launch

Verify the real workflows

Test vehicles, forms, notifications, redirects, tracking, mobile behavior, SSL, and canonical hosts.

After

Watch errors and outcomes

Monitor indexing, 404s, leads, provider delivery, traffic changes, and old-domain behavior.

Before changing DNS

  • Confirm the dealer controls the registrar and can change DNS
  • Export the current sitemap and crawl all indexable URLs
  • Record top landing pages, queries, backlinks, and conversion pages
  • Export inventory, customers, leads, content, photos, and required history
  • Document email, call, text, finance, marketplace, and analytics dependencies
  • Create a one-to-one redirect map for important existing URLs

Launch verification

  • Check the apex and www host behavior over HTTP and HTTPS
  • Confirm robots, sitemap, canonical tags, titles, descriptions, and structured data
  • Compare vehicle counts, prices, photos, status, and location fields
  • Submit every public form and confirm ownership, notifications, consent, and source
  • Test mobile navigation, galleries, tap targets, forms, and horizontal overflow
  • Verify analytics events without exposing sensitive shopper information

First 30 days

Keep redirect and 404 monitoring active. Compare Search Console coverage, important query impressions, organic landing pages, and qualified lead volume against the pre-launch baseline.

Do not judge the migration only by homepage traffic. Vehicle pages, local inventory categories, lead-source accuracy, and the dealer’s ability to work requests are part of the result.

Start with proof
